David E. Johnson, Ed.D., Principal, TransformEd Consulting, San Antonio, TX will conduct a workshop titled “Data Brokers: Information Superhighway Robbery.”

Dr. Johnson is a lifelong learner who has spoken and written about the digital divide, social justice, and online learning. The content of this workshop derives from his and a colleague’s recent Journal of Information, Communication and Ethics in Society article titled “The dangerous use of genetic information.”

Among his varied affiliations, Dr. Johnson is a member of Alamo Regional Data Alliance, Texas Evaluation Network, Alamo City Evaluators, and San Antonio Evaluator Pipeline.

Given this workshop, participants will know limits of data protection and be able to make informed decisions about the access to and use of their personal data. Join Dr. Johnson and his ARDA colleagues in what will be both an informative and instructive workshop.
