Calling for Nominations for the Steering Committee

Are you a leader committed to strengthening how governments work with local partners and for their citizens? We are looking for up to three more elected officials or staff of local city and county governments or organizations that maintain or manage public infrastructure/utilities to join the ARDA Steering Committee!

ARDA’s focus is to bring together data professionals, leaders, and many others to help make our city better at using data to improve people’s lives. Leadership from the CTDC team drafted a shared vision and a Community Strategy to describe local data-related needs and plan and take action to meet those needs over the next several years. And as we enter this next important phase, we need strong, representative leadership to help steer the course. This is where the elected Steering Committee plays an instrumental role.

The Steering Committee is the executive, decision-making body of ARDA. Its main role is to take responsibility for the vision, feasibility, strategic plan, and achievement of outcomes. The Steering Committee consists of 17seats: 4 from Local Government and Utilities (3 of which are vacant); 4 from Service Providers; 2 from Planning and Advocacy; 2 from Philanthropy; 4 from Other Organizations, and 1 community member.

We are opening the call for nominations for the three vacant Local Government and Utilities seats on the Steering Committee. If appointed by the Steering Committee, you will be joining a dynamic group of data professionals and leaders committed to advancing a community-wide people-centered data collaborative and leading the Alamo Region toward becoming a truly data-informed community.
